Nottingham Academy Welcomes team from The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

Year 11 brought Romeo and Juliet to life with an inspiring workshop from The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust!

On Friday 24th January the English faculty at Nottingham Academy proudly welcomed a team from The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to perform two interactive revision workshops for our Year 11 cohort. Through a mixture of analysis, professional performance and interaction with our pupils, 'Romeo and Juliet' was brought to life and analysed in an exciting and engaging manner that clearly had a positive impact on all pupils and staff involved. The team from The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust were equally impressed with how the day had gone stating:

"Thanks so much for having us at the school on Friday. Both groups were great - so engaged and creative - you definitely have a few future actors and directors in that year! We really enjoyed talking to them."

Hopefully, this lovely day will translate into positive results for our Year 11 cohort in their GCSE English Literature examinations and give them a passion for the theatre!
